Homemade Apple Pie Granola: The Taste of Fall in Every Crunch
All the warm, nostalgic flavors of apple pie — baked into a wholesome, crunchy granola that’s as good for your mornings as it is for your soul. This Homemade Apple Pie Granola is golden, crisp, and filled with notes of cinnamon, maple, and toasty nuts. Sprinkle it over yogurt, pour it with milk, or eat it by the handful straight from the jar (no judgment here).
You’ll need:
-
2 cups old-fashioned oats
-
½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
-
¼ cup pecans or walnuts, roughly chopped
-
¼ cup almonds, thinly sliced or chopped
-
2 tablespoons coconut sugar
-
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
-
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
-
¼ teaspoon allspice (optional, for deeper spice)
-
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
-
¼ cup coconut oil, melted
-
⅓ cup pure maple syrup
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
½ cup dried apples (add after baking)
Instructions:
-
Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut, nuts, spices, salt, and coconut sugar. Stir in the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla until everything is evenly coated.
-
Spread the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
-
Bake in stages:
-
At 15 minutes, check for color — granola should be turning golden. Gently stir (keeping some clusters intact).
-
At 20 minutes, it should be evenly golden and fragrant. Don’t worry if it feels a little soft — it’ll crisp up as it cools.
-
-
Cool completely on the pan without stirring so clusters can set. Once cooled, break into pieces and toss in the dried apples. (Want to take it up a notch? Add white chocolate chips or extra dried fruit once cooled!)
-
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Enjoy this granola any time you want that warm, apple pie flavor — minus the oven time and all the fuss. It’s cozy, crunchy, and irresistibly simple.
